2014 Oxnard MuckdogsCoach Justin Moreau and Coach Chris Spiess will be posting updates here as regularly as we can. Things like practice schedules, game schedules, snack schedules, and maybe even some player stats!
There's a Contact Us page where you can call or email the Coaches of the Muckdogs any time, and there's also a form you can fill out if you'd like to help the team with practices during the week and/or on weekends. Team Rules 1. Have fun. 2. Practice the way you would play in a game. 3. Learn as much as you can every time you take the field. 4. Hustle, hustle, hustle. 5. Get dirty, man! |

Team Philosophy
Remember that the smartest guy on the field is the guy who ends up winning. Playing smart and learning the right way to do things is a life-long lesson. Whether we win the league championship or not, the kids on our team are still only 9 and 10 years old - that means they have a lot of years of playing baseball ahead of them. If this is where they start to develop the right attitude, the life-long smarts of the game, and the smile that baseball puts on their faces - right here in the first ever season of the Oxnard Muckdogs - then this season will be a success.
Step 1 is to learn the right way to play the game of baseball.
Step 2 is to enjoy playing the game of baseball.
Step 3 is to play to win... because winning at a game that's fun to play in the first place makes it even more fun to play every time you win.
